Pine Ridge Girls School is a tuition-free, all-girls middle and high school on the Pine Ridge Reservation, where rigorous academics are grounded in Lakota culture, project-based learning, environmental stewardship and leadership. With a 100% Indigenous staff, the school is building the next generation of Lakota women leaders while creating a learning environment rooted in identity and community. Demand exceeds current capacity: the school reported 43 students and 38 on the waitlist, with transportation and staffing among the biggest barriers to growth. Additional teachers and support can translate directly into more girls gaining access to the school.
