About

With the growing number of states adopting Education Savings Accounts and microgrant programs, Odyssey has developed and operates an efficient and transparent payment management platform for states designed specifically to help families secure the education of their kids. With expertise from his days as an educator and education company founder, CEO Joe Connor was committed to empowering parents to actualize their choices under these new state laws. The Odyssey system helps parents to make informed and intentional decisions about their students’ education while providing states with a fraud-free platform that safely delivers funds quickly and securely.

Their Story

Odyssey is passionate about working with states, parents, and vendors to ensure ESAs and microgrants are accessible to all families.

Joseph Connor

CEO

“We support K-12 families by offering a simple and accessible platform. We are particularly dedicated to providing families from underserved, low-income, and rural areas.”

1

Why they stand out

Parents have enough to do. Odyssey uses 21st century technologies to make it easy for parents to browse schools, tutoring, software, and other products and services suited to the unique needs of each individual child, while also making it seamless to pay for these services using state funds. The Odyssey payment management platform has been designed to reduce the administrative burden for states implementing ESAs and empower families using them. The Odyssey mission is making ESA programs accessible to families and vendors while ensuring states securely and responsibly administer public funds.

2

How they STOP for education

This sustainable, turnkey solution reduces obvious barriers for families and is an all-in-one platform currently used in the states of Idaho, Iowa, and Missouri, while customizing the platform to each states’ needs.

Provides a transformational platform that makes it easy for parents to complete the verification process, navigate the school marketplace, and make payments in record time.

While most ed tech companies can’t be bothered by policy, Odyssey is committed to ensuring families have the freedom they need to educate their children.

3

Winning their award

With their STOP Award, Odyssey will scale its platform to more states, focusing primarily on Arizona, Arkansas, Florida and New Hampshire, and continue to build out and refine the platform.
