This microschool in rural Arkansas was launched after founder Kanesha Adams adopted her young niece, who became afraid to go to kindergarten following the tragic loss of both her parents – a defining moment that inspired the creation of a school where every child feels safe, valued, and excited to learn. Built on a “Larger Than Labels” philosophy, the school provides personalized learning, social-emotional development, entrepreneurship, and hands-on experiences that help students discover their strengths rather than be defined by their challenges. What began as a safe place for Adams’ niece now has more than 100 families waiting to get in.
