Odyssey, the ed tech company, has developed a payment management platform designed specifically to help families successfully navigate applying for state funding through Education Saving Accounts and microgrants. The Odyssey system empowers parents to make informed and intentional decisions about their students’ education while providing states with a fraud-free platform that safely delivers funds quickly and securely. Odyssey partners with states to provide a platform for student applications, approved vendor registrations, and the secure disbursal of state funds. Depending on the state, families may use these funds for school tuition, supplemental learning, extracurricular activities, and school supplies to bolster their children’s K-12 learning experiences. With the $1 million Yass Prize, Odyssey would scale its platform to more states, focusing primarily on Arizona, Arkansas, Florida and New Hampshire, and continue to build out and refine the platform.
